Shopping for a first baby stroller is an exciting event for all parents... until they realize how many models are available on the market. Indeed, many parents are taken back by the large variety in models. Here are some suggestions to ease out your first baby stroller shopping.

First, think investment. Choose a stroller that you will serve your child both as a baby and as a toddler, as strollers can be expensive. Second, find out what your needs are. Depending on the type of parents you are, you may - or may not- need to look in to more specialized strollers.

Sport stroller

Those 3-wheeled strollers are larger than regular strollers and allow parents to bring their babies to more difficult terrains. Those stroller are slightly higher than other strollers, therefore a good option for taller people. The purchase of a 3-wheeled stroller or a sport stroller is usually designed for parents who love walking in the forest or other bumpier roads.

Lightweight stroller

Are you the type to always be on the go? Then purchasing a lightweight stroller should probably be your first choice. Those strollers are lightweight (duh) and practical, so you can easily carry them with you. That it is for a trip or simply for walking around in town, with a lightweight stroller, you are always a winner, as you can easily put it in the trunk of the car. Moreover, most lightweight strollers can be assembled and disassembled as needed and are often equipped with a system to avoid pinching your fingers (ouch!).

Combined stroller

The combined stroller or 3-in-1 stroller is one of the most best purchase you can make. Because they come in a set, 3-in-1 models can (and probably will) be more expensive than regular strollers, but because they also represent a long-term investment, their use will make you forget about all the costs. First, look at the comfort the stroller offers, and check what types of positions the stroller offers. When walking your child around town, you might want to have him or her seated to look at the world around them. On the other hand, you might also want to be able to incline the stroller to let your little one drink from their bottle or to be able to completely lie baby down for a nap. It is also important to orient the newborn baby towards you, but eventually also to position baby so he or she can face the world.

Double stroller

The advantage of double stroller is that you can walk with two young children at the same time, whether they are twins or not. With a double stroller, your children have the chance to sit side by side or one behind the other. Both options are excellent, although most parents seems to opt to having their children sitting one behind the other. as those strollers are less wide therefore easier to move around. The purchase of a double stroller is usually a necessity : having to carry two young children. Choose a double stroller that will be naturally resistant and comfortable for both children.

There are different needs for every parents. Everybody have a different lifestyle and your needs can bring your to choose a different model of stroller than you neighbour. By finding out what your needs are before spending your money on a new stroller, you will make a wise investment. Think about storage space, type of transportation, whether you like jogging with a stroller? Answering those questions will help you find what your best baby stroller is.
